Hi I'm Daniel

I love being outside, Scouting, hiking, skateboarding, catching fake fish you name it. i'm from Cedar City, UT and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Well like i said i love being outdoors! if i look back i can see i got that love for the outdoors from my Dad he and i were really into scouting and camping. The scouting program is a great place to learn how to be a good person and a possitive influence in the community, it was great for me also to get to know people of other faiths realizing that we were are all on the same path trying to help and bless the lives of others. Another big part of my life is Water Polo (probably one of the greatest sports) i discovered water polo when i joined the swim team my sophomore year of high school, funny thing was i only joined swim team because the team trips sounded fun, i ended up getting a lot more out of it then just the trips. i was able to meet many of my good friends while on both water polo and swim team.

Why I am a Mormon

i am a member of this church because God has answered my prayers as to where he wants me, and also as to the Truthfullness of the Bible and The Book of Mormon. Both books of scriptures have played a huge role in my life since applying the teachings found within them. I have often heard it said "if we want to talk to God we pray, and if we want God to talk to us we read the Scriptures" i had such an experience while reading in the book of Mosiah. It was finals week in college and i had a lot of studying that needed to be done, along with studies i had a full work load with two jobs...needless to say i was stressed. even with all of these things that seemed to keep piling on i found time to read in the scriptures one morning and i read the scripture Mosiah 24:14 which says "and i will also ease the burdens which are put upon your shoulders, that even you cannot feel them upon your backs, even while you are in bondage; and this will i do that ye may stand as a witness for me hereafter, and that ye may know of a surety that i the Lord God, do visit my people in their afflictions." when i read that passage i was immediatly comforted, and i felt that God really was in control everything seemed easier even though i still had a ton of work i had to do. from that i knew that our heavenly father is there, he does care about us, and as we put our trust in him he will lift our burdens. He continues to help me as i go through life blessing me with the knowledge that he lives!

How I live my faith

i try my best to live my faith by serving those around me, from the scriptures we know "charity is the pure love of Christ". Right now i am serving as a missionary for the church, where for 2 years we go out into different areas of the world to serve others and also teach them of the gospel of Jesus Christ. It has been a point in my life where i really have seen as we really try to help others; to love our neighbors as ourselves. God will bless us endlessly for serving his children and our brothers and sisters. i know that in helping others we will feel that pure love of Christ. I live my faith by looking for those oppertunities to serve and share what i know to be true.

What is a “testimony” that Mormons speak of?

A Testimony is when we share truth with another person, what some may call witnessing. A testimony is to tell another person or a congregation of people something spiritual that you have found to be true through the Holy Spirit bearing witness of it to you. Show more Show less
