Hi I'm Cynthia

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have a degree in Industrial Engineering and I am also studying for a masters degree in Quality Systems. I enjoy good books, I like music, I love spending time with my family and friends.

Why I am a Mormon

When I was a kid my family experienced a difficult time. My older brother who was a healthy one year old baby had a high fever and a doctor administered a bad dose of drugs to him causing him brain damage. My parents were devastated to see how their baby lost mobility. My Grandmother joined the church in 1987 and the missionaries used to come all time to visit her. My parents used to live with her and they explained to my mom that a baby with special needs is a blessing for the family because they are angels sent to help us become loving people. At that time some people used to judge my parents to be bad people, trying to explain to them that they must have done something really bad and they were being punished in this life thru a baby with special needs. After many discussions with the missionaries my parents joined the church. I grew up as a child knowing that I am child of God that I was created in His own image. I knew that my purpose in life was to be a blessing in other people's lives and that perception of my own divine purpose made me a happy girl even in the worst times.

How I live my faith

I am committed to following the example of Jesus Christ, trying to serve and love others. I am helping people thru different church programs such as personal visits, charity acts, helping those in need, coaching ladies to learn new talents, teaching people to read or use the computer and tutoring kids. I am trying to be kind to everyone around me. I like to bring them happiness. I am dedicated to see in every person a priceless soul who deserves respect, love and appreciation.

Why is family so important to Mormons?

Cynthia
The family is important for us because in our homes we learn basic values such as loving one another, sharing our possessions and personal desires, communicating our feelings, facing challenges, working together and sharing responsibilities. The family union provides the kids security, comfort and happiness. To me my family is my treasure. I love them so much and I think I would be lost without them. Show more Show less
