Hi I'm Danae Black

I am from St. George, Utah. I love laughing, cooking, classy fashion and rain! I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am one of 10 children! I have 6 sisters and 3 brothers, (and growing with all my brother and sister-in-laws)! I enjoy playing the piano, writing, I love to dance, I love good music! I love fashion-especially from the 50s era!! I love hiking and just about any outdoor activities! I'm a Mormon.

Why I am a Mormon

When I was 12 years old I wanted to know if The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints was true, I believed that it was, but I wanted to know for myself. I remember praying about the church for the first time, I received what you call an instant answer, it came from the Book of Mormon. Since then my testimony has continually grown as I continue to read, ponder and study the inspired words of the ancient prophets of America. I recently returned from a full time mission, in Tampa Florida, where I was able to my testimony of Jesus Christ every day. I have seen how dark life can be, I know how hard it is, and it is only through living the gospel of Jesus Christ that I have the power to endure whatever comes my way.

How I live my faith

Something I have come to realize is that Faith is an action. Every day I begin my day with prayer and personal study from the Book of Mormon, and all throughout the day I often reflect on what I read earlier, and try to remember and apply it. Reading the Book of Mormon fills me up, gives me hope, strengthens me and gives me guidance and answers for my every day trials and experiences. Believing in Jesus Christ is more than going to church, its following Him every day, being an example, doing the things He would do if he were here. That is what I strive to do.

Why is family so important to Mormons?

Danae Black
I know that families are essential to God's plan. I know that before we lived on earth, we lived with our Father in Heaven, as His children. I know that we learned and grew together, before coming to earth. Our families on earth can be our support and strength, the home can be a place to learn of God and the gospel of Jesus Christ, and how to be an eternal family. Family is important on earth, because God gave us families to help us become what He wants us to be, in the family we can begin to understand God's love for us. Show more Show less
