Hi I'm Brian

I'm a Mormon. I have been a member since the age of 32 when a great, great friend introduced me to the church (and my wife).

About Me

I am the father of three children; a daughter, a son and a daughter. They along with my wife are my greatest joy in life. Our family loves the beach. I like Newport for riding my beach cruiser, Doheney for bonfires and playing my guitar, and the family loves T-Street for going with friends. I have been teaching myself guitar for a few years now and love playing, I wish I started years ago. I moved to California from Dallas, Texas in 1977. After graduating from High School I subsequently attended and graduated from California State University at Long Beach. I became a Community Manager in 1990 and have been with the same company ever since. I met a great friend who introduced me to the church and my wife and at that time I started living my real life.

Why I am a Mormon

It all started with a friend inviting me to a church activity. Then I met more people who invited me to more activities. Then I noticed the church was at the center of everything these friends of mine did. I became interested in why all these people were so active. A friend helped me contact the missionaries who taught me the first lesson. For me it was no long extended investrigation. I knew right away that that what I was being taught was true and I joined the church after receiving my lessons. Over time my testimony grew from those seeds of faith to where I now know that the Church of Jesus Christ of Later Day Saints teaches the true gospel of Jesus Christ. We are led by a Prophet, Thomas S. Monson and twelve Apostles. We are a church whose members value service and have a committment to living the standards of the gospel. And I have great fun as a member and great joy in my life as a result of the gospel.

How I live my faith

I am a leader of the young men in our Ward and enjoy working with the youth teaching them how to have wholesome and fun activities. I volunteer at the High School and with AYSO to support my kids sports interests. I enjoy raising my family in accordance with the gospel and often wonder how different my first 32 years would have been had I been raised as a member. I am however glad that my experiences and path led me to exactly where I am today. I know there was a plan for me and I am forever grateful to all those who helped lead me, guide me and introduce me to that plan.
