Hi I'm Fiona

I grew up in England. I am a wife, mother, grandmother, artist and gardener. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have been happily married for 37 years to a pretty adorable guy. Together we have raised 5 children and now 7 grandchildren! I still can't believe time has passed so quickly. But a huge part of me is my art practice. I am an oil painter of figurative subjects and I am quite passionate and dedicated to my work. My paintings have been exhibited in throughout the US. I also love to garden and plant as many flowers as the ground permits. My husband says I have a green arm. Oh, and I love to play pickleball which is kind of a short tennis game.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born in England, but we lived for a short time in Canada. There my parents joined the church and I am so grateful that they did, because the gospel of Jesus Christ is the anchor and joy of my life. My experiences as a child in England and then again in the US when we emigrated have given me the opportunity to see that the church is the same the world over. No matter where life takes me, no matter what life throws at me I know there is peace in following Christ's teachings.

How I live my faith

We are a busy bunch when it comes to church service. It is through giving that we love others. Its a pleasure for me to teach Sunday School and I loved being the choir director at church for 10 years. I also like to do little service projects such as collecting school supplies for elementary kids in Africa and Mongolia, and knitting hats for chemotherapy patients.
