Hi I'm David Balser

I love the outdoors. I'm a student. I'm a Mornmon.

About Me

Hi my name is David, I'm 26 years old and currently reside in Colorado. I am preparing to get ready to go serve my Mission in the Illinois Chicago Mission! I am the only member in family that's LDS, and they have been extremely supportive of my spiritual growth and faith. I have 2 older sisters who I love very much and have 4 wonderful nephews and 2 nieces which two of them I have not had the chance to meet yet. I work in construction doing a lot of odds and ends for the owners who are also members of the church that I met through my ward. I am so blessed to be surrounded by my family and friends who all love me just as much as our Heavenly Father loves us, and I say these things in the name of Jesus Christ name, Amen.

Why I am a Mormon

I was converted to the church when I was 24 years old. I've for some reason had a strong bond to the church as far as I can remember. I had many lessons with the Missionaries off and on for 15 years and been surrounded by wonderful members who taught me many things. One of the most important things they taught me is just by living true to their faith and being that wonderful example to me and everyone around them. I now know why I always had a strong connection with the church, it was because of the Lord and his Savior Jesus Christ. I knew in the back of my mind this church was true, it took me awhile to realize that and to see the many blessings that heavenly father has bestowed on me.

How I live my faith

There are a lot of ways I live my faith, one is to serve my brothers and sisters, asking my Lord for new challenges for me to overcome and giving thanks to what I have been blessed with. Unfortunately I still make mistakes, but I look at those mistakes as lessons that I can build my testimony and use what I have learned to help others. As I watched many of my brothers and sisters suffer through hardships I've learned that we cannot judge others but to lift them from the darkness and show them the light. My calling in the Church is a Sunday school teacher, I teach every Sunday to young Disciples of Christ, showing unto them the examples of how our Lords tenders mercy so that one day we can return back to be with him again. Now I'm getting ready to serve a mission, 2 years in which I get to serve others and share his restored gospel.
