Hi I'm Mark

I am a father and husband who grew up in Idaho. I am a small business owner and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have a wonderful family with a loving wife and 4 beautiful children - 3 princesses and 1 race car driver. I have always been interested in technology and have pursued a career as a small business owner. I have always done things on a whim...much to the consternation of my wife. I flew out to South Carolina several years ago to purchase a Delorean, sight unseen, because I wanted to drive one. I traveled to Orlando to watch the Space Shuttle Endeavor launch with my brother because I had never seen one. Of course, the launch was scrubbed, but we enjoyed the trip. Recently, I watched a youtube video of some college kids sending a camera into space attached to a weather balloon, so I tried it too. When my engine died, I decided to learn all about cars and replace it myself (we'll see how that turns out) I consider this enthusiasm for being spontaneous my best attribute. I have a zeal for life that I can experience through new experiences or just watching a sunset or feeling a nice summer breeze.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know that God loves us and treats us all equally. He has not left us alone in this world, but has provided many opportunities for us to return to him. My knowledge of Heavenly Father isn't based on a book that we got from another religion, but on modern revelation. I know that the Bible contains the words of Jesus Christ and his Apostles. I know that the earth is a lot larger than just Jerusalem. I know that Jesus visited with other peoples and they shared their stories. He appeared in the Americas and they wrote about it in the Book of Mormon. He appeared to Joseph Smith and he wrote about it. He appeared to modern day prophets and they wrote about it. I know that he will continue to appear and that we will know more about him.

How I live my faith

I try to live my life as one should. I came from a very troubled childhood, but that hasn't kept me from living an idyllic life. We are who we choose to be and I choose to be happy and helpful to my friends and coworkers. I always try to lend a helping hand whenever possible and volunteer when the need arises. I currently help with the young men in my church. I help plan activities and give them ideas that foster Christ like attributes like service and love. When the youth were asked to give service but were tired of doing yard work, I suggested that they bake and deliver cookies instead. Everyone liked that idea since cookies taste better than grass. I try to teach my children some simple life rules like "Choose the right", "Help others that need help", and "Always stop at lemonade stands".
