Hi I'm Christine VanAusdal

I'm a wife, mother of 6, sister, friend. I've lived around the world with my USAF husband...and I am a Mormon

About Me

I have been married ot my best friend for 23 years and we have been blessed with 6 WONDERFUL children...4 boys and 2 girls (our last 3 being adopted) and the better for having them. We are newly retired from the USAF where we were able to travel to several states and over seas to Germany. I LOVE being a stay at home mom and wife. It has not always been easy but it has ALWAYS been worth it.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born in a family that went to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints speradically. I had my first confermation that The Book of Mormon was true when I was about 13...when I read the vision Nephi had of the Tree of Life. The vision was so clear in my mind and the over-powering sense of love I felt. It helped me through the years. It don't mean I was perfect. Like many girls I let my natural (wo)man get the best of me and, as a result, I became a teen pregnant mother. I was unbelievably blessed to have a boyfriend who married me and STAYED married to me. I know that we were blessed with our long, and ETERNAL, marriage because early in our marriage we remembered that there was not just the two of us but that there were THREE of us in this union...Him, Me, and GOD. Through this knowledge we have been able to go through many other trials and many other blessings KNOWING the Lord is always guiding, loving and caring for us at ALL times.

How I live my faith

I LOVE sharing my faith with others through my testimony, example and discussing it with others. I have had many jobs in the church...primary teacher, counseler, youth leader, music conductor and am currently a Cub Scout Bear leader. I have been blessed to be a Visiting Teacher and to have Visiting Teachers. The sisters are always there for eachother, our families, others, our community and our Lord's work. I pray daily for the strength and ability to be someone that is there for any and everyone and that I can always be in service to my Heavenly Father.

What are Mormon Temples used for?

Christine VanAusdal
In the temple we learn more of the eternal truths our Lord has for us. We are given the sacred blessing of being married for all eternity to our spouse and children. We also give the ability for those who have died to be baptized by having someone preform the ordinance by proxy. Show more Show less
