Hi I'm Nick

I'm a missionary in Norway from Arizona, United States. I love music and my family. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Hi, my name is Nicholas, but I prefer Nick. One of my favorite things in the entire world is music. I love playing the piano, the organ, and the cello, and I love to sing. I have participated in my school's choir and orchestra. I was recently called to be a missionary for the church in Norway, where I will be speaking Norwegian. I am also a fan of Star Wars, Harry Potter, the Percy Jackson series, and other sci-fi and fantasy series. I am part of a family of eight, and I love my parents and siblings (I have four brothers and one sister). My favorite TV shows are "The Mentalist", "Grimm", "Arrow", "Leverage", "NCIS", "The Flash", and "Alias".

Why I am a Mormon

I have been a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints since I was a child. I was born into the church in a very active family, and have always been involved in all church activities and meetings. When I was younger, the church was just a normal part of my life, no different from going to school everyday. However, I slowly and gradually began to gain a testimony of my own, a true belief in my church and its teachings and doctrine. I now am very strong in the church, and no longer have to rely on my parents testimonies. I know that my Heavenly Father lives and loves us, and I have grown very close to Him. I know that Jesus Christ died on the cross for our sake, and was resurrected. I am so thankful for his Atonement, more than I can express. I have a testimony of prayer, and I don't know how I would ever make it through my day without it. Being able to communicate with my Father in Heaven directly is such a great blessing. I know that the Book of Mormon and the Holy Bible are true, and that Joseph Smith restored the true church after seeing both the Father and the Son. Christ and my religion are what my life is all about, what it is centered on. It is so important to me. It's my life. I am so grateful for my parents for raising me in the church, and for teaching me so about the church and for loving me so much.

How I live my faith

I am a missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, more commonly known as the Mormon church. I serve for two years, and I spend almost every waking hour studying the gospel of Jesus Christ through the holy scriptures and sharing the gospel with others.

Why do Mormon missionaries proselyte?

As I am currently a missionary in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, I feel this is particularly applicable to me. Deciding to serve a mission is not an easy task, but is a clear decision once you understand why we do missionary work. Our church proselytes because this gospel has brought us so much happiness and joy, and we know it will continue to do so in this life and in the life to come. Through our experiences, we have felt immense joy and peace, and through those experiences we have come to know that the Book of Mormon is true, the Gospel of Jesus Christ is true, and Christ's church is once again on the earth. We also know that through this gospel, we can receive eternal life in the life to come, the greatest of all the gifts of God. How can we keep from sharing this with others, when it has brought so much joy to our own lives? Show more Show less
