Hi I'm Lauren.

I'm in love with athletics, cultures around the world, and books. I'm a wife, a mother, a daughter, and a sister. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in Pennsylvania but I have also lived in Virginia, Nebraska, Lithuania, Mexico, and Utah. I'm honestly not really amazing at any one thing in life but I sure love a whole lot in life. I love sports, and movies, and people, and cultures, and languages, and books, and of course my family. I am a wife and mother which, while not always easy, brings me the most joy. I want to be and do so much but often I am not what I want nor accomplish much, but I try to enjoy the ride. Being a wife and mother is so important to me. I want to put smiles on their faces and make sure they know that I love them.

Why I am a Mormon

Because I make mistakes and deal with anything from fleeting moments to weeks of guilt, anger, depression and frustration in life I feel that I need my Savior Jesus Christ. Only when I call on His name for hope and love do I feel that because of Him, I can become who I am in His eyes. I guess that deep down, I trust and know that the Savior loves each of us, that He loves me. Bad things happen to people regardless of race, financial situation, language, culture...grief is a world-wide emotion. Despite and because of this I know that our Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ love us all. I don't stop all painful things from happening to my child. I would not be a good mother if I did prevent all pain in her life, however I comfort and love her. Heavenly Father and Christ are there for us. They are there for me. When I look for them, I feel their love. That is why I am a Mormon. Because I believe in Jesus Christ and I need Him.

How I live my faith

Currently my husband and I teach a Sunday School class for youth ages 12-13 weekly. We prepare lessons from a lesson manual and the Holy Scriptures. We challenge them to learn more about Jesus Christ and His teachings. I personally visit and help out other women and families in our ward/church. For example, I took a meal to a woman that recently had a baby so she would not have to cook that day. I try to be the best wife and mother that I can be. I guess you could say I live my faith through volunteer-work.

What is the Law of Chastity?

Lauren.
The Law of Chastity is respecting the power to procreate, a gift given us by our Heavenly Father, to have children. To keep this law we are to use it only under the terms our loving Father has given to us: which are to exercise this power only between a husband and wife who are legally and lawfully married. Like all laws, in heaven and on earth, it is for our good and brings great trust and love to the world. Obedience to this commandment brings my family deep levels of trust and security that I will always be grateful for. Show more Show less
