Hi I'm Kristina

I'm an artist. I'm a sister. I'm not who I used to be, because now... I'm a Mormon!

About Me

I grew up in a Protestant Christian home, and am extremely thankful for the lifestyle choices my parents made, and the values I was instilled with. There are few things I love more than my role as sister (to two brothers) and my role as daughter. There are also few things I am more excited about than to someday achieve the role of mother. In my time home from college, my favorite thing to do is paint. Giving and selling paintings is one way I am able to bring a little happiness to others. I also enjoy driving, running, reading, and remastered hymns from my childhood.

Why I am a Mormon

As a recent convert to the church, I get to answer the question "Why?" quite often. When I was approached by missionaries at my college, I knew next to nothing about the Church, and was at a time in my life where I was seeking out truth. As I began to take discussions with the missionaries, it became clear to me that this Church and this restored Gospel were exactly the truth I was seeking. Through prayer, scripture study, and putting the missionaries through more than they thought they were in for, I received personal revelation that I had found the truth. Nothing in this life has brought me more happiness, more comfort, or more peace - THAT is why I'm a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by doing the very best I can to live the Gospel, and show people what Christ was really all about. I attend church every Sunday, and am taking classes about ways that I can grow my faith and make and keep covenants with God. More than anything in the world, I want to bring to others the gift and the happiness that the missionaries have brought into my life. Right now, that simply means sharing the love and happiness that I have with those around me on a regular basis.

Why don’t women hold the priesthood in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints? How do Mormon women lead in the Church?

Men and women are different, thus we hold different roles in the church and in our families. Worthy men are able to hold the priesthood, which gives them a portion of God's authority, and the ability to bless and heal others. Women are equally as important, and are able to give life! That is another portion of God's authority. In the home, husband and wife are equal, but different. Together, men and women work to make the home function harmoniously. Show more Show less
