Hi I'm Gustavo Ibarra

I was born in Mexico. I'm married with 4 kids. I teach and coach high school in California. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a high school Spanish and ELD teacher as well as a track and cross country coach in California. I'm married with four amazing children. I enjoy coaching and spending time with my family.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because I know that the church that Jesus Christ established has been restored to this earth through the prophet Joseph Smith. I have read and prayed to know that the Book of Mormon is true and have received a confirmation through the Holy Ghost. I know that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is God's church today led by a modern prophet, Thomas S. Monson.

How I live my faith

I currently serve as the leader of the young men from my congregation. I work with boys ages 12-18 and we work with other leaders to help the young men to grow and develop. We participate in many activities including being involved with the Boy Scouts of America. We have about a dozen boys in our group and it is a pleasure to work with them. I previously served as a missionary for the church in Argentina for 2 years and I also served as President of a Spanish Branch of the Church in California for 7 years.
