Hi I'm Nick

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a loving husband and father to three wonderful kids. My wife is my best friend in the whole world! Together we have a handsome son and beautiful girl, and I am blessed with a sweet step daughter. My family means the world to me, and I know I am so blessed to have them in my life. I am a computer junky. In fact me and my wife met playing an online game, the sims online. I have played World of Warcraft, but lost interest after a few months. Currently I enjoy playing EVE online, even if it can be a bit challenging at times. Music is another passion of mine. I am not talented when it comes to playing an instrument, but I love listening to all kinds of different music. Some of my favorite genre's are rock, country; electronic, and pop. I am not a "typical" guy in the sense that I am not a sports nut. I do enjoy to watch Nascar time to time, and will always cheer on Jeff Gordon. I also like to watch the NFL. My favorite football teams are, in order, Miami Dolphins, San Diego Charger, and Seattle Seahawks. I also like to cheer for Oregon State University when it comes to college football. Although I don't really watch MLB, I will always have a soft sport for the San Diego Padres and the Texas Rangers.

Why I am a Mormon

I was brought up in a LDS family and knew at a young age this is the true church. Unfortunately, I become inactive when I was a young teen and my life style started to reflect my inactivity. I married a non member and we both had similar ideas on religions, but different at the same time. She had grown up hearing some of the false rumors of the church and was unsure of the Mormon church so we attended a different church for a few months. I never felt completely at ease at that church, and always felt that something was missing. Eventually my wife and I did not feel like that was the right church so we stopped attending churches all together. That lasted about 2-3 months then we received a HUGE blessing. One day while my wife was out for a walk she came across some missionaries, we knew then it was a sign that this was the church we belonged too. Now my wife has been baptized into the church and we are regularly attending each Sunday. We are working on getting our temple recommends so we can go to the temple and get sealed as a family.

How I live my faith

I pray to our heavenly father frequently. I also make it a priority to read from the scriptures daily to help nourish my soul and learn all I can about the gospel. Attending church each week is suck a great blessing as well. It gives me the right attitude to start out the week with.

How can I know Mormonism is true?

Nick
The best way to find out if the church is true is to ask. No I don't mean ask members or friends, but ask our heavenly father. While reading the book of Mormon and learning about the church ask in a sincere prayer if what you are learning is true, and the answer will be revealed to you. Show more Show less
