Hi I'm Clair

I'm a college student, I love to swim, my brothers are my best friends and I'm a mormon.

About Me

Hello! I am a junior at Brigham Young University Idaho studying Public Health. I am passionate about health and wellness and finding a balance in life. I swam competitively for 11 years until college and continue to swim on a regular basis. From July 2014 to December 2015, I served a mission in Chiclayo, Peru and fell in love with the people and the culture. I feel blessed everyday for my sacrifice to serve for 18 months and I am so grateful for everything I learned. I am the oldest of 4 children and I am the only girl as well. As a family, we enjoy camping and hiking, being outdoors, playing games, and laughing together. I am a lover of life and things happy!

Why I am a Mormon

I have been raised in the church my whole life and I learned at a very young age of the importance of the gospel. I consider it my greatest blessing. My first memorable experience of feeling the spirit was when I was about 6 or 7. My mom was singing I Love To See The Temple before bed and I started crying! I had never experienced anything like it yet in my life and I was so confused. I remember this feeling faith within me that made it possible for me to believe in eternal families. In that moment, I knew that I would be with my family forever. This first moment with the Spirit has greatly impacted my life. I reflect on it often. Ever since then I have had experiences to strengthen my testimony in priesthood power, the leaders of our church, the pioneers, Joseph Smith, the atonement, the plan of salvation, the power of prayer, and temple marriage. Through scripture study and prayer I have increased my knowledge of faith, hope, love, charity, repentance, tithing, temples, priesthood, prayer, the scriptures and many other church topics. My biggest spiritual experiences in my life so far include my baptism, siblings and other loved ones getting baptized, EFY, my patriarchal blessing, my mission, and making sacred temple covenants. When I got my patriarchal blessing I was assured that I am doing the right things in my life. It helped me realize that there is still so much for me to learn and understand in this Gospel. I have a testimony that I know this is the true church upon the earth. It is lead by a prophet called of God, who speaks the truth and tells us what God wants of us to be safe and protected in this wicked world. I am so grateful for Joseph Smith and his courage to restore the Church. I am eternally grateful for Jesus Christ and the atonement in my life. I testify that temples are the house of God and that the Spirit abides that those sacred buildings. I am glad I can live with my family again thanks to the plan of salvation. I love this gospel.

How I live my faith

I strive to live my faith in word, in action and in deed. I am always willing to lend a helping hand, to make new friends, and to make people feel good about themselves. Social media has been a helpful tool for me to share my beliefs with others. I am so grateful for the advancements in technology that allow me to post pictures, quotes, songs, and videos that reflect what I believe to be true. Even though I am now 22, I continue to follow the standards set in the For The Strength Of Youth and am always aware of the example I am setting for the people around me. I hope I can look back on my life and be proud of the influence I have had on others and the life I have lived. Loving my religion and sharing my testimony with others is the biggest way I am an example. I dress modestly and my words are clean. I hope that those I come in contact with are impressed with the way I live my life as I follow church standards.
