Hi I'm Tyler Julander

I'm from Arizona. I play the Saxophone. I love music, especially Jazz. I love to write, draw, and read. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love music. I grew up with music my entire life. My mom plays piano, we have one in our home, and every Sunday morning I would wake up to her playing the piano. I unfortunately didn't pick up on it when i was a kid, so slowly but surely I am learning how. My dad plays trumpet, not professionally or in any sort of band. He played in high school in the marching band. With that music upbringing, my older brother, younger brother and myself, have been in the very same marching band. I play the Saxophone, mainly Alto, but have branched off and have played Tenor and Bari. I however was Drum Major for three years, so i didn't really march my instrument. The Drum Major is the chorister, so to speak, the person conducting the music on the field. My main area of music I enjoy playing the most, is Jazz. I was a member of my school's jazz band and loved it so much! I'm a math nerd, i love math. It is so much fun. I also enjoy reading, long long long books in long series. I am currently writing several books, well, have several ideas down on paper at the least. I love creating. I love to draw, and to write, and play with Lego's. I love to hang out with my friends. We go bowling, go to the movies and every Friday we go to our regular hangout pizza place. I love spending time in their company. The conversations we have about everything, are some of the things I treasure most. So, that's me in a nutshell. :)

Why I am a Mormon

I was born in the church. Both of my parents were born in the church. I can trace my ancestors back through the pioneers to the beginnings of the church. But just because I was born in the church, doesn't mean that i didn't have my own conversion story. Everyone has to come to their own realization of God, our eternal father, Jesus Christ, our redeemer, and the Holy Ghost, the comforter. I did. I don't remember exactly when, or exactly where, or under what circumstances, but I just remember that i just knew. I knew that Heavenly Father is my father, that he loves me and cares about me. I knew that Jesus Christ redeemed my sins; and that there is no other way than through Him that we can return to live with our Heavenly Father. The Atonement of Christ is something very powerful and very dear to me personally. We all sin, that is the nature of our existence. Through Christ we can be made clean again. That sacred act, is the whole reason why we came to this earth. To gain a body, to experience, joy and pain, happiness and sorrow, sin and repentance. To learn of God, to grow in his teachings, come to an understanding in our hearts of His love for us. This life is the time for us to prepare to meet God. Moroni says, if we have charity, the pure love of Christ, when we see Him,"we shall be like him, for we shall see him as he is." I have come to know for myself that these things are true. I have prayed with real intent, wanting to know the truth, and God answered my prayers. I say this in the name of Jesus Christ, amen.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by trying my hardest every day, to embody Jesus Christ. As a missionary for the church, i have been taught to look at someone, and try to see them as God sees them. I try to see what He sees, to feel what he feels, in essence, to come to an understanding of who they were in the spirit world, who they are now, and the potential God knows they have. My eyes have been opened. I have found that I truly care for those people, I want to teach them about the gospel, I want to bring them to Christ! I never knew you could care for someone in such a manner. It's not even perfect. I am limited by my physical scope, but God, His love is matchless and eternal. That is what I strive to have in my life. Like i said, I am by no means perfect, i am still working on it, but starting with that, a whole new avenue has opened up, i no longer look on the outward apperance, i see children of God. I act in a way pleasing unto God, I strive to be chairitable, loving, meek, humble, kind, and steadfast. I try to live and act as Jesus Christ would if he were here. and I think that is all that we can ask of ourselves. I testify of these things in the name of Jesus Christ, amen.
