Hi I'm Paul Helms

I'm from Alabama, I love paintball, I'm serving a Mission in South Korea, and yes, I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Hello! The name's Paul. I was raised in Alabama, USA, in an area populated predominantly by Baptists, Methodists, and members of other protestant religions. My mother was raised in a Baptist home, but later joined the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints when she was twenty two. Shortly after, she met my father, and together they had seven children, including me- their first son. Together my father, my two brothers, and I built the house that we now live in. It wasn't an easy task but it was one of the most worthwhile things I've ever done. I'm currently serving in the Korea Seoul South mission. Before I left to serve a mission, I was a student at Brigham Young University in Utah. My love of writing and literature has motivated me to study the Bible, the Book of Mormon, and other similar volumes of scripture. I am also a massive fan of film, and hope to one day produce films of my own. I enjoy hiking, exercise, and most of all, playing paintball.

Why I am a Mormon

Again, I absolutely love my religion. I could give so very many reasons for my loyalty to and love of my faith. One reason I couldn't imagine being anything but Mormon is the clarity that my faith provides me in my life. If I have questions, I can always find answers. However, the most important factor in my being a Latter Day Saint and really sticking with it is as simple as this: it makes me happy. Because of my faith, I know that God lives. I know that Jesus Christ is his son, and that he suffered unimaginable pains so that you and I and everyone else who repents and believes on his name can one day be reunited in his presence. He loves us in a way more infinite and eternal than we can imagine, and he wants us to return to be with him.

How I live my faith

Like I tell everyone (and I'm not afraid to repeat it)- I love my religion! I'm currently serving a mission in Seoul Korea. For the entirety of this two year period of my life, my purpose is to live my faith by helping others to come unto the Savior Jesus Christ.
