Hi I'm Pam

I'm a grandmother of 7 who would love to see them more often than I do. Family is so important to me. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My husband and I moved to Canada from New Mexico 8 years ago and became dual citizens last summer. We have lived in Utah, Wisconsin, New Mexico, and Ontario in our 34 years of marriage. All our children are grown now and I'm thinking of getting a dog! I love to travel and see different places. I love to quilt, read, and browse thrift stores for a great bargain!

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into an LDS family and have always gone to church as part of our family tradition. When I was a young teenager, school was hard socially, and youth night at church as well as Sundays became the anchor that got me through the week. As I grew older and continued to learn the beliefs, I began to feel a spiritual witness that what was comfortable socially was also the truth! As an adult, I continue to learn and understand the doctrines of the Gospel better all the time and I am constantly renewed in the belief that this is Christ's church and His gospel. I love the scriptures; especially how the Book of Mormon and the Bible substantiate each other so well. They both witness that Jesus Christ is my Saviour and I know that this is true.

How I live my faith

I have been asked to do many things to serve in the church through the years. At first, it was scary and I thought, "I can't do that." But as I exercised a little faith and showed a little bravery, I found that my abilities grew and so did my confidence! I have learned so much from being willing to step out of my comfort zone a bit and accept new responsibilities. I think the idea that we are supposed to serve each other has made me a better person. It makes me more willing to help in the schools, community, etc. because I recognize that I Can Do It and that I receive blessings by being a blessing to others.
