Hi I'm Keith

I AM A HICK... I AM CANADIAN!! I DO NOT SPEAK FRENCH... AND I AM A MORMON!!

About Me

Im 21 years old im serving my mission in the canada halifax mission right now. When i was back at home sports were my life. I played highschool football basketball baseball and soccer. I also love hunting, fishing, camping and especially riding my horses! So pretty much anything you can do out doors. That is why I need and have 99 pairs of shoes... haha! Im the second oldest of 46 cousins just on my mothers side, so family is a big part of my life, well i actually dont know how many there are... I lost count... We get pree right roudy eh when all of us get together for special occassions, or even just on a normal day, its always an adventure when were hanging out. When I finish my missionary work I'll be attending university to recieve my doctors in advanced science and start my profession in Oceanography and Meteorology. I love to study things of the unknown and knowledge that has been lost over time. Theres so many interesting things that we do not know and I want to find out.

Why I am a Mormon

Growing up I never had that chance to have a father. But I did have 6 of my moms brothers to help show me how to be the best I can be. We all have our stuggles and challenges in life, but you can always rely on your family to catch you when you fall. I've done a lot of stupid things in life but I always knew that things would turn out for the better if I really put my heart into it and change. This didnt mean that I had to change who I was or my personality, but to change my thoughts and views. By doing so it has helped me to have a different and better outlook on the world on others how I treat others and myself. I've seen how the gospel has blessed my uncles and their families and I can see the love that is in them and their homes and everyone they come in contact with and I just want to be able to have that same type of love in my life and just share it with others. I know that I want to have salvation and to be able to live my wife and kids for all eternity and live in the presence of our Heavenly Father again and that is what he wants for us because he loves us and it is the best gift of joy and happiness that anyone could ever recieve, and the only way we can do this is through Christ's example and living by his teachings and enduring to the end. I know at times I'll feel like I want to quit but by pushing through with confidence and faith in Christ I'll hit that certain point in my life where my opprotunities seem endless and that day will be so amazing.

How I live my faith

Before my mission I was called to teach primary class. This was probably the best experience I have had. I was teaching 4-5 year olds and every class I would just get to see them run up the stairs and just be so excited for the next lesson that I was going to teach them that day. Just the smiles on their faces would brighten my day. Of course it was mostly cause they got candy but it was still worth it. Right now I am serving in the Canada Halifax mission. I've devoted two years of my life to help invite others to come unto christ and show them how much I care for them and love them because of this I want to share with them what has made me so happy in life.

Who is the Mormon prophet today?

Keith
God calls prophets today of every generation as he did before the Birth of christ. Todays living prophet and president of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is Thomas S. Monson. He speaks to and through God, recieving revelation of today and tomorrow. He is assisted by two counselors; Henry B. Eyring and Deiter F Uctdorf. Together all three of them make up the First Presidency of the Church. Much like Peter James and John did after Christs death. Show more Show less
