Hi I'm Christopher.

I'm from California. I'm a musician. I'm an educator and a missionary, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love reading, playing music, teaching, and learning languages. In the last 4 years, I have studied Spanish, French, Japanese, and Korean. I was attending Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah hoping to major in Instrumental Music Education. I am currently serving as a missionary in the Pusan South Korea Mission, and I will be serving until approximately mid-May 2014.

Why I am a Mormon

I chose myself to become a member of the Church at the age of 11 because of the hope, peace, and happiness that both the teachings and the people brought into my life. My mother was a recent convert, and the rest of my family did not have much interest in the Gospel, but I enjoyed the joy that I felt with my friends at church. After I became baptized, I stopped coming to church so that I could be around my dad more often because he worked several hours away, and we could only see him on weekends. Halfway through high school, my friends invited me to the youth group activites and to participate in their Boy Scout Troop. Eventually through a series of events, I chose to go to BYU in Utah. After my first semester, I went to work at Walt Disney World, where I met some of my closest friends and my girlfriend. They eventually convinced me to make changes in my life that helped me develop healthy habits and to participate in wholesome and uplifting activities. Finally, I found out for myself after years of change and development and work that the Book of Mormon and all the principles of the Gospel are true, and that I should share these truths with the world by serving a mission. I testify that the Book of Mormon is truly another testament of Jesus Christ (I've read it and prayed about it several times). I testify that Joseph Smith restored the Gospel of Jesus Christ, and translated the Book of Mormon with the divine assistance of our Heavenly Father. I testify that families can be together forever, and that we are free to choose happiness or misery in this life, and that happiness comes by willingly and wholeheartedly living the principles of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

I faithfully fulfilled my calling as a home teacher and it was one of the best things I could do. I made a choice early on that I would fulfill the callings that I would be asked to do. Being a home teacher really helped me to see how much our Heavenly Father cares about all of our brothers and sisters and we are here on Earth to help those around us when they are in temporal or spiritual need. I hope to be able to do this more while I am on my mission in Korea.
