Hi I'm Tyler

I am a husband, a father, and a law student. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a soon-to-be father, a husband, a law student, and a Mormon. I enjoy good conversation, reading edifying books, running, and spending time with my family and friends.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know the Book of Mormon is inspired scripture and because I have a testimony that the Church of Christ was restored on the Earth in its fulness by the prophet, Joseph Smith. Through the Book of Mormon and the Holy Bible, I became acquainted with the Living Heavenly Father of us all and his saving Son, Jesus Christ. I continue to learn from the words of those books of holy scripture and from the words of living prophets and apostles about my purpose on Earth and how I can achieve it. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints helps me become more like Christ. As I strive to study the Gospel and prayerfully live by it, I am blessed with sacred confidence and joy before heaven and my fellow men, with spiritual guidance and comfort, and with stronger character and good habits: wisdom, self-mastery, kindness, courage, integrity, and love. The Church is organized love. It is service. Helping other people is part of what it means to be Mormon. Through sabbath day meetings, we lift and enlighten each other. We talk of Christ and his infinite sacrifice for all. We learn to be more Christlike in our families, at work, and in play. I am so grateful my children will be reared in the supportive and caring community of the Church. The Church facilitates learning about temporal and spiritual needs of those in and outside the faith and provides a way to better meet those needs. I am not a Mormon because it is easy. It is not. I am a Mormon because of a deep conviction built on experience and because of the joy the Gospel brings to my life.

How I live my faith

According to the counsel of the Apostle Paul, "If there is anything virtuous, lovely, or of good report or praiseworthy, [I] seek after those things." I attend church meetings every Sunday. I study the scriptures individually and with my family. I gratefully pray to my Heavenly Father. I seek to be a Christlike husband, father, colleague, and friend. I accept invitations to serve in the Church. I am appreciative of my assignment to visit certain families and individuals in the ward every month to exchange thoughts about the Gospel and get to know one another. I love going out with the full-time missionaries to meet new people and share my testimony with others.
