Hi I'm Natalie Jane
I'm a mother and wife. I'm a blogger. I've traveled around the world, but I love home best. I'm a Mormon.
I'm a mom of two beautiful children and have been married for 11 wonderful years. I studied literature and art in college and I love to travel. I'm interested in photography and writing, I dabble in the domestic arts, but I'm afraid I didn't get the Martha gene. That's okay. My family still loves me. I write a blog called natalie's sentiments.
Why I am a Mormon
When I was 6 years old I wanted to know if the church was true. I prayed for this knowledge. One day at church I was singing and, quite unexpectedly, I was filled with the Spirit as it testified of the truth. I cried that day in joy. Since then I have had countless moments when the truthfulness of this gospel bore witness to me. I have felt this same witness while standing in the great city of Jerusalem contemplating my Savior. I have felt it as I held my newborn babies, knowing that we are meant to be eternal families. The Lord wants us to be happy. Living this gospel brings such joy.
How I live my faith
I have had many callings in my church. Once I was over the young women and I delighted in teaching them and learning from them. I'm a visiting teacher, which means that there are women that I am responsible to look after and make sure they feel included and loved. I have women who do this for me as well. Our church is always involved in service for the community and worldwide. Recently I headed up a project to gather goods for the women on maternity bed-rest at our local hospital. As Mormons, we believe that all are God's children, and we try to help those around us, not only those in our church. We believe Motherhood is one of the greatest callings of all.
