Hi I'm Javier Perez

I love life. I love Jesus Christ. I am a Mormon

About Me

I can say I have enjoyed a life full of great blessings and many tender mercies from God. My family and I are converts to the Church. The change was not difficult, when we knew the truth the Lord provided a way for us to enjoy all of His blessings. I have seen countless miracles in my life. I enjoy life and all of it's life changing experiences it provides. I love the outdoors, sports, learning, my friends, and of course my family.

Why I am a Mormon

The Holy Ghost... I "joined" the Church in my early years. Through thick and thin my parents have set a great example encouraging me to live a gospel life. As I received my answer I knew this was all correct. Currently being in a culture where Christ is a marketing tool has really helped my testimony. I know the Lord wouldn't want himself to be portrayed as a business icon, but that he would want His Atonement recognized and appreciated. This is where you find that, this is where you find all the truth. The truth does set you free, don't' believe me? Come and see.

How I live my faith

I strive to live the best I can to live with the Lord someday. I've come to the conclusion that each day of my life will be full of repentance. What a blessing! I live my life by taking an invitation, the invitation to follow Him. Each and every day has another step for me. I do my best to share the gospel with all those I meet, hoping and praying that they will find the fullness of the gospel in their lives. I will go and do as the Lord commands.

Why don’t Mormons drink coffee, tea, or alcohol? What is the Mormon Church’s law of health and proper diet?

Javier Perez
We've been commanded to live in the world, but not of the world. As many people have realized everything is good in moderation. Sure one cup of coffee may not kill you, and that's not the point. The reason we abstain from drinking such substances such as coffee, tea, alcohol etc... is because of their addictive capabilities. The coffee bean is know to include many addictive chemicals which can people to crave coffee as much as someone may crave tobacco. The more you partake of this substance the more harm it will cause. Our bodies are a gift from God. If you received a brand new car you wouldn't want it to smell like smoke. Our bodies are meant to be taken care of, as we take care of them we will become more attentive to the spirit. That's why we believe in the Word Of Wisdom. Show more Show less

Why do some call Mormonism a cult?

Javier Perez
Great question, a cult can generally be considered any association with a common belief. Catholics maybe be called a cult. I would consider it unorthodox to have so many variations on the Bible and have a belief in a church in that sense. The facts are there that we belong to the primitive Christian Church. We belong to the Church of Jesus Christ. We're in the Latter Days, and we do our best to live as Saints. There's nothing which is secret that the Lord won't reveal. Now there is the common belief that strange things happen in our Temples. That's not the case. It's sacred not secret. Would a cult have this many missionaries teaching about happiness and joy? If so would they invite you to pray on that? Even after that would they force you to stay? Understanding comes over time through prayer, study, and obedience.
