Hi I'm Michael Jones

I'm 58-years-old, a husband and father of three. I am a clinical psychologist (Ph.D.) who loves my life, work and church.

About Me

I have had Tourette's Syndrome (TS) for 50 years and have practiced clinical psychology for 30 years. I have been blessed with adversity and the support to overcome it. I love music, (Classic Rock-and--Roll--Beatles are best!) as well as jazz and 40ths big band. I love the Santa Cruz mountains, the SF Bay Area climate and diverse population. I also enjoy just chilling and appreciating the gifts I have been given. It is not unusual to find me in my jean pajama pants once the day is done.

Why I am a Mormon

It flat out makes me a better person! I am reminded every day the importance of gratitude, faith and service. I like my toys, including my 82 inch flat screen tv, but family and spiritual gifts top everything. It is the express mission of the church to link family's together for time and all eternity.

How I live my faith

I try to pray regularly and to say meaningful prayers, not just the same thing over and over. I try to be kind, understanding, helpful and nonjudgmental. People are fragile and need nurturing. I have been blessed to work with all kinds of people and problems as a psychologist. One can never be perfect, but one can strive to be a bit better each day, don't you think?
