Hi I'm Paula Burgess

I grew up in North Carolina. I enjoy making others smile. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am foremost a wife and mom. I work full time in the IT department for a hospital. I also go to school full time for my BA degree. I love you make people smile and laugh. I always try to smile at everyone I meet because you never know if that is the only smile they get that day. I enjoy doing crafts and sewing. I love to make homemade gifts. Someday I hope to see my son get married in the temple and that I can be a grandmother. That I will love because I get to spoil another child. I think that all children deserve to be spoiled . I am. My husband spoils me daily.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in the church. I learned the teaching in my youth. But why am I a Mormon? Simple, I believe in the teachings that the Church gives to everyone. I believe in Jesus Christ and I know that his sacrifice was for me so that I can return to him. I know that if I live righteously then one day I can be in the Celestial kingdom with my Father in Heaven. I know that if we follow the commandments that life is a little easier. I am thankful for those that have been put in my life. Because without them I could not be as strong as I am. I am thankful for all my callings in the Church. Each one has been a challenge, but each one has been for me. I have learned so much in each of them. I am most thankful for my Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ and for the gift of the Holy Ghost.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by example. I learned years ago that there are so many people that watch what I do. In doing visiting teaching your faith grows from those that you meet. I also try to give answers to those that question my faith. I am not one that can just go and talk with others but I can answer questions when asked. I try to share the love that we have for one another. I try to help anyone in need. And most of all I try to just be me.
