Hi I'm brant

Hi my name is Elder Wolsey, I am right now serving a mission for the church of Jesus Christ of latter-day Saint I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have been serving a mission now for a year and a half. Prior to my mission I lived a very comfortable and relaxed life style. I worked as a framer building houses. When I wasn't to be found at work you could always find me either relaxing with friends or up in the mountains doing some kind of extreme sport such as snowboarding snowmobiling or Down hill Mountain biking. The reason I loved these extreme sports is, that it would place all of my cares for the world at rest. It truly gives me the chance to see and live in some of Gods greatest creations that few eyes have beheld. It has shown me and helped me to understand that there is a god who loves me and everyone else in this world.

Why I am a Mormon

I have grown up in the church; however I haven't always been a member with a knowledge about the truth of the message of our Church. Where I grew up in the church there was a very large Mormon Population. All of my friends where members and this made going to church and activities very easy. Because of this I stayed active in the Church. There is a program in the church set up for teenage men and women. This was a large part in keeping me and my friends going. I found that through it I slowly found my self slowly starting to understand the truth of our message. On multiple occasions I have prayed to know that this church is true. One of the which i was at an activity for my youth group. Leading up to this prayer I listed to one of my friends who recently joined the church bare his testimony or stating that which he knew to be true.... As he did I had many questions in my mind about what he was saying. One of the most important being, How do you know this is true. As my friend continued on this though continued to dig into my mind deeper and deeper tell I realized that i wanted to know as well. As he finished he looked to me to share my testimony. At the time i was not ready and didn't share my testimony. With this desire in minded, not more than a few minutes latter i removed my self from the group. I left and prayed more fervently to my father in heaven then ever before. The resulted in me gaining for my self a testimony of this church and the truth of its message.

How I live my faith

I have many ways that i live my faith. I have grown up in and around the church. I have always been an active member who participates in activities and church callings/ assignments. One of those ways that i have live my faith with in the church is by serving and teaching young men ages 16-18. I found this some what difficult as i did because I was only 19 years of age at the time. However I think that it is just as important to to live your faith out side of church. I try and do this by always trying to be a good example to other. A Latter-day Saints Prophet once said " dare to be a Mormon, dare to stand alone, dare to make it known." To me this means that we are willing to stand up for what we believe in even when the situation my seem hard. I always try to share what I know to be true and I love it when other share with me what it is that they believe. Living my faith means to me that I am always working and trying to be more like our Savior Jesus Christ. No matter where I am.
