Hi I'm Kellie

I grew up in Southern California, I'm a vegetarian, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am currently serving a mission in the Utah Salt Lake City South Mission, the Spanish-speaking assignment. I am majoring in English Education and minoring in Spanish and German Education. My hobbies include playing instruments such as piano, guitar, cello; dancing; singing; drawing; writing songs on my guitar; performing arts--basically anything to do with art, I love.

Why I am a Mormon

I love learning!!! And with the gospel of Jesus Christ there is an answer for EVERYTHING! Because it's true, it all fits together like a puzzle, and I am amazed every time I read the Bible and the Book of Mormon the new things that I learn and that I can apply to my life. Not only that, but I have seen the way it blesses families. I love my family, and I love children. I want my own familiy someday and I would not want to raise my children in this world if it weren't for the gospel of Jesus Christ which gives us guidance and protection. Because I've prayed about and read the Book of Mormon, and done the things asked of me, I have come to know for myself that there is a living prophet of God on the earth today, that he teaches us the same gospel that christ once taught, and that I can receive my own personal revelation through prayer, scripture study, church attendance, and obedience to all of God's laws. You have to do the work to get the answers, and once you do, your worries disappear, your focus changes, and you find happiness more readily everywhere you go. All you have to do is get down on your knees, go to Father in Heaven with sincerity, and be prepared to receive whatever it is He tells you. I know he loves all of us, and I know he will hear your prayer.

How I live my faith

Currently I am living my faith by serving a full time mission and sharing the gospel and watching it change people's lives. Through serving this mission I have come to learn the importance of being a good member as we rely heavily on the members to help us teach, share their testimonies, and invite their friends to hear the gospel. I have seen what kind of member I want to become when I end my mission. Somebody who loves and serves others despite diferences in beliefs or backgrounds, somebody who shares their beliefs by living them, and somebody who is always ready to serve.
