Hi I'm Wyatt

I love to play hockey and enjoy the outdoors of Maine. I am serving a mission in the Brazil Sao Paulo South Mission. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a missionary from Maine called to serve in the Brazil Sao Paulo South Mission! I also served in the Farmington New Mexico Mission as I waited for my visa to Brazil. I absolutely love playing sports, especially hockey, football and baseball. I have four siblings, two older brothers, a younger brother, and a younger sister. I love nature, especially the trees, mountains, oceans, and lakes Maine has to offer.

Why I am a Mormon

I have always been a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, but not just because my mother and father told me I should be. In my childhood I have been blessed with experiences that have strengthened my testimony. I have learned to recognize that the Holy Ghost is not a made up spirit, but a real being. One time while I was being taught the atonement of Jesus Christ, a clip was played where President Thomas S Monson was speaking. He finished his message by quoting "How sweet the joy this sentence gives, I know that My Redeemer lives" from the hymn I Know My Redeemer Lives. At that moment the Holy Ghost strongly testified of this truth, that Christ not only died for me, but he lives for me as well. He is my redeemer and I will always be indebted to him. Then and there, the Holy Ghost entered my body with such force that there wasn't an inch of my frame that didn't feel like it was on fire. A numbness shocked my body as I felt the witnessing power of the Holy Spirit. I know that anyone who desires to know if the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is the only true church on the earth that they too can receive this witness. Through reading the Book of Mormon and praying with sincerity, everyone can come the same knowledge I have, that Christ lives and His gospel has been restored for us today.

How I live my faith

I have been preparing to serve a mission ever since I was baptized at age 8. Through reading the scriptures every day I have learned to love Christ and His Gospel. It is important to me to stand out in social situations where my standards are in the minority. As a young man in a busy world, I always try to find time to put God first through service in my calling and fulfilling my responsibilities as a priesthood holder. I make an effort to go to the temple as often as I can.
