Hi I'm Katie

I'm a student, I'm an athlete, I'm a future missionary, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am 19 and a sophomore at BYU, hoping to get into the advertising program! I love to dance and play my guitar, as well as run and play soccer. I also just received my mission call to Roseville, California! I am so excited to share the gospel with the people of Roseville, I can't wait!

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I have a testimony of the gospel. I was born and raised in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and was baptised at age eight. I have gained a testimony and work to strengthen it daily. The church gives me purpose and direction in my life.

How I live my faith

I am preparing to serve a mission for the church, currently I serve as a counselor in the Young Women's presidency in my home ward before I leave for my mission!

Why do Mormons perform baptisms for the dead?

Katie
Family is so important to us, we want to be together forever, which can only happen if our families and others have had an opportunity to be baptized by proper authority. Because so many people lived when they could not have access to the proper authority, we do the ordinances for them by proxy so they can be with their families forever as well. Show more Show less
