Hi I'm Nolan

I love spending time with my family, gardening, and helping people see the things in their lives better

About Me

As an optometrist, my week is filled with helping people see their lives better. It is so satisfying to help someone see clearly, or to help them accomplish something they couldn't have done previously. The interesting thing I have found in my work is that vision is a choice. Even when some people are given the tools to see better, they are sometimes content on just seeing enough to get by. I compare this to the Gospel of Jesus Christ. We sometimes feel content or comfortable with what we know, and don't put forth any more effort to receive more. The Lord will never force us to "metaphorically" wear our spiritual glasses to see his will better. It is our choice.

Why I am a Mormon

My parents raised me in the Mormon faith, so I would rephrase the question in my situation to " Why am I still a Mormon?" Much of my answers so far have concentrated on the way of making ourselves more like God, or improving ourselves each day. The church provides the framework for me to accomplish this for myself, and my family.

How I live my faith

I feel that my whole life is an extension of my faith. There is no part of everyday life that can't be a way of increasing your faith in God, your service to others and making the world a better place.
