Hi I'm Madison

I am a percussionist. I am an artist. I am a wife. I am a stay at home mom. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Being a wife comes first in my life, next I am a mother. I love being a stay at home mom no matter how difficult my children are being. When I am having a bad day I always turn to music. I have been interested in music my entire life. I have played piano for as long as I can remember but my true passion is percussion. After playing for four years of high school I played with the Oregon Crusaders Drum and Bugle Corps. In college I continued being a musician until I decided that it was more important for me to be home with my child. The decision was hard but one of the best I have ever made. With the help of my husband who is a avid cross country runner I have learned the joys of being healthy. I am beginning to enjoy exercise and the peace it brings into my life. I cannot wait to have more children and have a big family to play with.

Why I am a Mormon

Even though I was born into the gospel I was not converted until after I graduated High School. My parents were both very active and held me to a high standard. My parents taught me everything I needed to know about the gospel but I still did not truly believe it. I made bad choices and was not happy. I kept looking for happiness but I couldn't really find it. During my time with the Oregon Crusaders a friend of mine who was not a member made me realize what was missing. He just asked me a simple question. "when was the last time you felt truly happy?" I just thought about when I heard Gordon B. HInkley bearing his testimony to the youth. I felt so loved. Not just be him, but also by my Heavenly Father. Whenever I feel even a tiniest bit of doubt I simply think back to that question. "when was the last time you were truly happy." I am a mormon because I know I am a child of God and I know that he has a plan for me. I have eternal worth and I can be with my family for all eternity.

How I live my faith

I live my faith in the home everyday. I am continually working on strengthening my relationship with my Savior. Some days are tough and I struggle to be the best I can be. All I can do is try to be better today than I was yesterday. I am a stay at home mom and am striving to teach my children the gospel and love of Jesus Christ. I take the commandment to "love one another, as I have loved you" very seriously and hope to spread the love the Christ to everyone I meet.
