Hi I'm Ron Craven

I develop commercial real estate for a living. I enjoy traveling and reading history. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am a father of five and love being a grandpa of 12. Professionally I am a partner in a firm that develops commercial real estate such as medical office, office buildings and retail shopping centers. I like being involved in non-profit organizations and have traveled with our family abroad to work on humanitarian projects. I love being with and enjoying activities with my family.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the Mormon faith. I come from pioneer heritage. My childhood was happy-- raised in a Mormon home where my father loved my mother and the teachings of Jesus Christ were emphasized and practiced. I married my wife for time and all eternity in the Salt Lake Temple. We have tried to raise our children with the same value system we learned in our youth. We love to work, play and worship the Savior together as a family. Our faith is more then just a religion, it is a lifestyle that we embrace every day of our lives. I choose to follow the teachings of the Savior because I love Him and know he lives! His atoning sacrifice is very personal to me. It gives me strength, conviction and a desire to be better in my every day life. Central to my testimony of the restored gospel of Jesus Christ is my absolute witness that modern prophets walk the earth today. I know God loves us because he has raised up living prophets. Their teachings give hope and encouragement in a troubled world. I have tried to follow the teachings of the modern prophets during my life and have been greatly blessed by following their counsel. I know the Book of Mormon is true. I know that it is true because I have read it many times and have been influenced profoundly by the revelations that the book contains. I thank God each day that I am a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I try to live my religion each day--not just on Sunday. In addition to Sunday worship I accept other opportunities to serve throughout the week. Over the years I have taught various church groups as an instructor. I have worked with youth groups of all ages and have enjoyed helping the youth plan and organize activities that give meaning, purpose and direction in their lives. I hold the priesthood and am grateful that I can use it to bless my family and others. My faith also encourages me to serve in our community outside the confines of our church membership. I have been able to serve our community in many ways which has enriched my life tremendously.
