Hi I'm Judy

I grew up in Ohio and now retired I live in Arizona. I love to travel and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I enjoy sewing, cross-stitching, reading and my family. I have always enjoyed taking care of my family and my home. I have tried to teach my children good clean values that they can carry with them through their lives. I am retired from a banking career and enjoy living in Arizona and being close to my youngest son and his family. I visit my other three children as often as I can. I have twelve grandchildren and one great-grandson.

Why I am a Mormon

Although I was raised to go to church, I always felt something was missing although I didn't know what it was. When I started reading to book of Mormon, it was like something clicked for the first time and couldn't wait to be baptised. All at once things seemed clearer. In my early life, I was taught that God was to be feared. I discovered he is truly very loving.

How I live my faith

I try each day to thank our heavenly father for all he does for me and my family. I appreciate little blessings as I go through my day. I work with small children in our ward, organize volunteers for a blood drive and am volunteering to help with cub scouts. I enjoy visiting the sisters outside church and getting to know them and help any way I can. I love reading the scriptures and other worthwhile books and magazines that help me in my faith.

Why are only some Mormons allowed into temples? Is there something secret going on in Mormon Temples? What goes on in Mormon Temples?

Judy
The temple is a holy place and only those who are worthy can go and perform ordinances that are necessary to return to the presence of our heavenly father. It is not a secret place, but a holy place. Show more Show less

How are modesty and chastity related? How can parents teach their children to be modest in dress, language and behavior?

Judy
If you chose clothing that covers you modestly and use appropriate language, the Holy Spirit will stay with you and guide you through each day. Your actions and thoughts will please our Savior and you will be a good influence for your friends and family. Show more Show less
