Hi I'm Annemarie

I am a nursing student. I started a business where I throw princess parties for children, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am currently in college studying Nursing. I love to sew, play the piano, read, and participate in choir and theater. I have participated in several plays as a stage manager, set crew, and actor. I love being on the stage or behind the scenes on stage to help the audience experience the magic that theater can give. I love cooking food and trying new recipes. I especially enjoy sharing things I have created with others.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because this church speaks to my heart in a way no other church has. When I follow the teachings of this church, I feel this overwhelming sense of happiness that is hard to describe. It is this huge warmth that rests upon my heart like I am being given this great big warm hug. From experiences I have had living the Gospel that is taught in this church, I know without a doubt concerning the truthfulness of the things this church teaches. I know that this is the restored Church of Jesus Christ, and that it contains the fullness of Christ's Gospel.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by my everyday activities. On Sundays I attend my church meetings and participate in the discussions we have there. Throughout the week, I attend activities that my church has put together. These activities are centered on serving others in our community and bringing unity with other church members and the community. I visit other sisters in my church at least monthly to see how they are doing. I love this time that is set apart to visit my other sisters because it allows me to get to know them better and better know their needs, so I can help them when they are experiencing difficulties. Throughout the week I attend to daily prayer and scripture study. This helps me center my thoughts and actions everyday so I continue living my faith both in thought, action, and belief.

What is faith?

Faith to me is to "hope for things which are not seen, which are true" (Book of Mormon, Alma 32:21 and Hebrews 11:1). I have seen my faith being exercised, when I do something predicated upon information that is not tangible. One example of this would be my decision to go to a school in another state. I felt that going to another state for my schooling would be a good decision, but I didn't know why. Since I made the decision to go, I have made so many wonderful friendships that I wouldn't have made otherwise, and I have had amazing experiences in my schooling as a nurse. I know that if I hadn't acted upon that decision I would have missed out on these wonderful opportunities and the experiences they have afforded me. Show more Show less
