Hi I'm Jennifer

I'm a wife. I am a mother. I am a volunteer, and I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am married to a wonderful man, and am the mother of five great and very active children. Even though I have a very busy schedule, I love that I am able to volunteer in my younger children's classrooms. Our children are blessed with great teachers. We love to have "adventures" as a family. Some of our favorite things to do is go to the beach, camping, and going for walks. We also love to spend time with our extended family. They each are a great blessing in our lives. I served for eighteen months as a Mormon missionary for my church in Tokyo, Japan. This was a wonderful experience for me, and I developed a great love for the Japanese people.

Why I am a Mormon

My parents became members of our church before I was born, so I have been a member all my life. However, when I was a young teenager, I began to question inside myself if people of other faiths felt the same way about their church, and if our church was indeed true. So, with encouragement from a loving sister, I prayed to know if it was true. We believe that each person has the ability to receive personal revelation from our Heavenly Father, so I plead with him in prayer each day for an answer that I would recognize and understand. After several days, as I was praying to know for myself, I had such a profound feeling of peace come over me in my heart and in my mind, that I knew it was true.

How I live my faith

I am currently serving in my church as a Webelos Den Leader in the Cub Scouts. Any boy, regardless of his church membership, is welcome in the scouting program. I love exploring and learning with these young boys. I am also a "visiting teacher." We have a program in our church called Visiting Teaching. It is a program for the women. Each woman is assigned a female partner, to go out and visit a few women each month. This is an inspired program to help us all watch over each other, and help us to be aware of any needs others may have. I love getting to know each of the women my partner and I visit.
