Hi I'm Loni

I'm a mom of 3, a wife to 1 and happy. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have been married for 10 years now and have 3 awesome kids. I am a stay at home mom and I couldn't ask for a better job. Although there are days that I feel completely overwhelmed, I feel so lucky to be at home with my kids. I enjoy decorating my home and making it a place my family loves to be. As a family we love camping and try to get away as often as we can. We are happiest when we are together!

Why I am a Mormon

I was taught this gospel in my youth. I went to primary starting at the age of 3. My first experience of recognizing and feeling the Holy Ghost came to me during primary, I was 10 years old, we were singing a song called, "Love one Another". As I sang those words, I had this amazing burning feeling in my chest. I had never felt anything like it. I knew that this church was true, I could feel the love of my Heavenly Father and Savior, Jesus Christ. I knew that they lived! And that I was in the right place, doing the right things, by following them. I will never forget that feeling. During my teenage years, I became less active in my church. I'm not sure why. I began to make poor choices and began to feel distant from my Heavenly Father. It was during those times that I felt alone and I wasn't happy. I would often remember the feelings I had at church, I was happy then. That is what made me decide to change my life and return to activity in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. It wasn't the easiest thing to do, but I knew it would be worth it. I began the repentence process so that I could again feel the peace and love of my Savior all the time. It was the best thing I did for myself! I am so grateful that we have a loving Savior, who is there for us, that made it possible to be forgiven of our mistakes and be happy again. I know I am who I am because the Savior makes it possible. I feel happy now and I know that my Savior and Heavenly Father live. I know they are there for me all the time. I have that peace and happiness I was seeking. I will never live without it again!

How I live my faith

I live my faith by doing the small things everyday. I pray daily by myself and with my family. I feel closer to my Heavenly Father when I do this. I can feel His love for me when I pray and I need his companionship throughout my day. I also try to read from my scriptures daily. It teaches me how to be a better person. I try and make my family my first priority. I love them so much and I can't imagine them not in my life. I want to be with them forever. I am teaching my kids about their Savior, Jesus Christ. I want them to know who he is and what he did for them. I am a Youth Sunday School teacher with my husband. We have the opportunity to teach a class, ages 12-14, every Sunday. It is something I enjoy, I get to know the youth in my ward family. And I am inspired by the good things and habits they are obtaining. I am strengthened by the their faith. I enjoy watching our youth grow up and gain a testimony of the Savior. I try to find ways to serve others, just as Jesus did. When we are thinking of others and serving them we are not so focused on ourselves and our own problems. It helps me become someone better.
