Hi I'm Josh Vidmar

I love Ford Mustangs, the outoors, country music, my family. I'm a Mormon

About Me

I have many hobbies, most of which I enjoy with my Dad, including riding ATVs and dirt bikes, snowboarding, shooting, paintballing, swimming, tennis, flying R/C airplanes, fishing, and camping with my family. I can speak Spanish. I am serving a full time mission in New Jersey, and I am loving every minute of it. I was born and raised in the church, and I know that it's true. I had an accident on my ATV which cause me to have glasses, but also increased my testimony of how much my Heavenly Father loves me.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born in this church, but it took a little to gain my own testimony of it. I am a very left-brained person, and I've always had my doubts as to whether God even existed, but I had some really good friends that helped me be a better person and to recognize and feel my Savior's love. I have read the Book of Mormon, I ponder it every day, and as I kneel down and ask my Heavenly Father if it is true, I receive yet another confirming witness that it is true. I know it to be evidence that not only do Our Heavenly Father and Savior live, but they love us enough to call a living Prophet to lead and guide us.

How I live my faith

Currently I am serving a full time mission in New Jersey. I have never loved anything like I love my mission. I am so lucky to have been called to THE best mission! I have learned so much about my Savior as I have served, and I have learned to love this Gospel. I love meeting, getting to know, and teaching new people. I know this Gospel is true.

What is being a Mormon like?

Josh Vidmar
I feel that being a Mormon is not too much different from not being a Mormon, but has a lot more benefits. True, we try to dress a little more modestly, leave a few words out of our vocabulary, and abstain from certain things, but life isn't any more boring because of those standards. I've found those commandments don't hold me back, but bless me. I have a healthy body, which comes in handy when I want to spend all day at the ski resort, or when I'm playing tennis. I enjoy not having the stress of adictions that hold me back and/or drain my money. I may not be found at a nightclub on a Friday night, but you could find me at a bowling alley, or even at a movie with some friends. I feel one thing that sets us apart is we focus more on living The Gospel of Jesus Christ rather than just believing it. Everything I have learned as a member of this church has only brought me closer to Christ. I believe we should be identified as Christians by the way we live, worship, and treat others, and not simply by a cross around our neck. One of my favorite parts of being a Mormon is knowing I am able to live with my family forever. I love my family very much, and I love knowing we will not be separated at the end of this life.
