Hi I'm Angie

I'm a homemaker. I'm a mother. I'm a musician. I'm an optimist. I'm happy. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have attained my dream job of being a mother. It's harder than I thought! But just as rewarding as I hoped. I try to keep a balance of being my own person while my time is so consumed in being with my kids. I love having variety and adventure in my life. I enjoy playing the harp and singing, I like playing sports, I love traveling, I enjoy photography, I like simple sewing projects, I have a new love for cooking, I love being crafty, I have gotten pretty good at fixing things (toys and stuff around the house), and I will rarely turn down the chance to play a board game. Life is not all about where you go or what you do, but who is beside you that counts and I am incredibly blessed to have a truly committed companion that I love immensely. I am a believer that people are more important than opinions. I also know that life is meant to be enjoyed and when we're not enjoying it, we need to change something. My life is far from perfect, but it fits me perfectly.

Why I am a Mormon

I have belonged to the Church of Jesus Christ my whole life, but have developed my own testimony and love for it. My relationship with my Savior Jesus Christ is the most important thing to me. Followed closely by my relationship with my eternal companion and our sweet family. I LOVE that I know that my family is sealed together forever. Quite frankly, I am a Mormon because that's where I can find God's power through the priesthood, I can study another Testament of Jesus Christ in the Book of Mormon, and I can live my life in confidence that I am on the right eternal path because I choose to be a Mormon every day. I know that God is very aware of each of his children and desires for us to be happy. My happiness is found by living my life in accordance with the standards taught in the gospel of Jesus Christ. They keep me safe and give me confidence in my future. Those standards include dressing modestly, using clean language, keeping my body free from alcohol and harmful substances, using the power of pro-creation only in the bonds of marriage and taking time every day to communicate with my father in heaven and study his teachings. Call me crazy or peculiar, but I'm a mormon and I love it!

How I live my faith

My faith is in Jesus Christ and in my Father in Heaven's plan for me. I live my faith by trying to remember them and be like them so that I can one day return to live with them. Living my faith is making a conscious effort to make right choices each and every day. From the little moments that I refrain from getting frustrated with my children, to following through with daily family scriptures and prayer, to praying to find someone to serve on a regular basis, I feel my Savior's love as I simply try to be like Him. The greatest source of peace and strength to endure in this life has come when I choose to give my time for serving in the Temples. I love to see the temple and I love to enter the doors and feel closer to my Father in Heaven. His temples are a beacon in my life that encourage and motivate me to live my faith regularly. I love that in the LDS church, we get the chance to serve in callings in our wards. I currently get to serve in the primary and I love it. There are so many things I can learn from little children. Serving in this calling, as in most callings, gives me the opportunity to focus back on Christ and serving His children throughout the week as I prepare for the Sabbath and my responsibilities. I know that as much as I can bless those around me by living my faith, I am the one who learns the most and grows in my testimony. I love living my faith because living my faith means living a life that leads to happiness and I like to be happy.
