Hi I'm Lori

I'm a Mormon. I grew up in Orange County and my husband Tim and I are the parents of five children and we have nine grand children

About Me

Tim and I met when we were eight but didnt date until we were young adults. We both grew up in large families and have always loved a family centered life. We love to read, particularly books about history, and we enjoy cycling. My entiret family loves the beach and spends most of the summer there, but I really have a passion for the mountains. Travel is our other passion and we have visited fifteen different countries of the world and my states here in America. Truly, you can say that my bags are always packed. My greatest joy is being surrounded by family and enjoying time together, whatever we might be doing.

Why I am a Mormon

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints provides the resource center for me to learn of and become like my Savior, Jesus Christ. My faith is Christ centered and being a Mormon helps me follow the Savior's example each day. Being a Mormon means serving others and in this way, I have come to understand how lifting others helps me to be less selfcentered and more like the Savior. My family members grow together not just be studying the scriptures but my applying Christ's teachings in their daily lives.

How I live my faith

Being a Mormon means i have what we refer to as a "church calling." My calling right now is to serve the young women of our church as a leader of girls age 14 to 16. We organize and participate in all kinds of fun and exciting activities with these girls. This summer we will join with our churches young men and go white water rafting. We also perform service projects like Mormon Helping Hands that helps do needed projects in our town. I try to be an example to others of what I think the Lord would have us be, like being honest and avoiding the degrading things we see in our world. Family is our strength and being a Mormon helps me understand and live my life to the fullest as a woman, wife, mother, and yes, a grandmother too.

What is faith?

Faith in God is to act on His teachings, not knowing beforehand what the immediate results might be, but knowing that God's principles are true and believing that blessings and happiness will follow. Show more Show less
