Hi I'm Megan

I am studying Medical Assisting and Massage Therapy. I love reading and spending time with my family. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I attend a local community college and plan on graduating with a degree in Medical Assisting and a certificate in Massage Therapy. I love books. A few of my favorite authors are Madeline L'Engle and Sharon Creech. I love yoga and hate running but will run for a good cause. I am proficient in preparing pasta, chicken, and brownies, but otherwise I try not to cause too many problems in the kitchen. Growing up I always wanted to be a doctor, so I attended my youngest brother's birth and cut the umbillical cord when I was 8 years old! My familly means the world to me and they always find ways to help me feel loved. I teach Sunday School for 8 and 9 year-olds and love studying the Book of Mormon with them each week!

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know the priesthood is on the Earth today. I have seen worthy men exercise the power of God in giving blessings and performing ordinances that help me make and keep my covenants with God. I see my Heavenly Father bless my life when I keep those covenants that I have made. It is a miracle each day that I get to feel the Holy Ghost help me make tough decisions and strengthen and guide me in times of trial. I know the Book of Mormon was translated by Joseph Smith through the power of God to bless my life and the lives of all the inhabitants of the Earth. I know that our Prophet and Apostles are called of God to help guide us in life today and love them very much.

How I live my faith

I look for ways to live my faith more fully each day. As I say my personal prayers and read the scriptures I feel my faith grow. Teaching Sunday School to young children in my area helps me stay focused on the fundamental truths of Christ's gospel like faith, repentance, baptism by immersion for the remission of sins, the laying on of hands for the gift of the Holy Ghost, and enduring through life in my covenants. I also have responsibilities planning activites for the members of my congregation. I attend religious courses offered through my local Institute of Religion that remind me to continue to study the words of God through His written scripture as well as the words of modern-day prophets, seers, and revelators.
