Hi I'm Kelli

I grew up with a love for dance. I moved to Los Angeles to pursue my passion. I'm a professional dancer and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Every since I was a little one, I have loved to dance. I was always dancing around, so naturally my mom put me into classes. From that time forward I knew what I wanted to be, a dancer. As I got to the end of my high school years, I knew I wanted to move to LA to pursue a career in dance. I attended a professional scholarship dance training program that lasted exactly one full year. It was the hardest year of my life but it was so worth it. Once that ended I was able to sign with a dance agency and begin auditioning for dance jobs for tv, film, live performances, etc. and it's what I continue to do today. When you can make a career out of something you love, you will never have to go to "work" a day in your life.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because I was born into the church. Both of my parents grew up in families that were active in the gospel so I was brought up in the church as well. Although I was taught from a very young age about Mormonism, I think it's important to understand that I have chosen to be a member of the church on my own, because how I act and what I decide believe are up to me. As I began to find out for myself if the church was true, I felt my testimony grow, I felt my Savior's love in my life and I felt peace and joy. The more I learned of gospel truths, my desire to learn more increased. As I kept the commandments I found myself freer of sin and temptation and I found myself more in tune with the spirit. I know that this church is the true church of Jesus Christ and that Christ suffered for our sins so that we can be able to repent and return to live with our Heavenly Father and Him again someday. I know that as we strive to keep the commandments, that we will be blessed. I know that we have a true prophet on the earth to direct our church today and that he is the mouth piece of our Father in Heaven. I know that we are all children of God and that He knows each and everyone of us individually and wants each of us to return to live with Him. I know the scriptures are real and that prayer works. Heavenly Father answers our prayers as long as we ask with a sincere heart and real intent. I know that nothing can bring eternal joy like the gospel can. I know that it's true. In the name of Jesus Christ, amen.

How I live my faith

My faith is a part of who I am. I live it by striving to be an example to others so that as they come to know me, they come to know the gospel as well. I am a ward missionary which means I am called to assist the missionaries and the ward mission leader teach those who are investigating the church or recently baptized new members. It is really awesome because I get the opportunity to feel the spirit so strongly in the lessons and share the happiness the gospel brings me, to so many more people who are hungry for the knowledge and peace the gospel brings. I live my faith but reading my scriptures and by praying and by serving others so that I can have a more Christ-centered life.
