Hi I'm Anthony Guzik

I'm a Mormon, sports enthusiast, businessman and a missionary.

About Me

Sports enthusiast, businessman and a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. I was born and raised in good ol' Minnesota. Growing up in Minnesota I did a lot of fishing with my father. We focused most our time catching walleye. After I graduated from Lakeville North High School I moved to Utah for college. I played semi-pro football in the Rocky Mountain Football League. My position was wide receiver. Always making catches to "shake and bake" defenders. I also practice Muay Thai. I trained at The Pit Elevated in Orem, Utah. I've had a couple bouts or fights in the ring. Rock climbing, mountain biking and anything that pushes my limits, I'll do it. I like working in an environment with people. I like interacting with others. You can learn a lot from an other's success and mistakes. I am looking to go to school to obtain a degree in business. I will most likely become a manager of some sorts. As of right now I am a missionary serving the Lord in the Rochester New York Mission and currently stationed in the city Buffalo.

Why I am a Mormon

Correct doctrine gives me the faith to endure. Because of Jesus Christ restoring His church through the Prophet Joseph Smith I can be sealed to my father in the temple. My father was not able to participate in any saving ordinances like baptism while he was on the earth. There is no other faith or religion on the planet that can provide those blessings. Knowing that I can help my father gain salvation, because of the ordinances in the Holy Temple gives me the strength and hope to continue. I have been blessed and my fears have been put to rest because of the Holy temple. This is why I am a Mormon

How I live my faith

A lot of people are are willing to die for their beliefs, but I am willing to live for my beliefs. I rely one hundred percent on Jesus Christ daily. I believe His teachings and trust in His infinite power and love. The Resurrection of Christ became a source of power, hope and comfort for me during a warm summer on March 4, 2010 when my father died unexpectedly. Although pain and grief come from temporal separation it was immediately replaced with comfort. How can anyone feel comfort when dealing with the lose of a loved one? Death is the robber of happiness, but knowing that I can be reunited with my father gives me all the reason to feel comfort during a time of tragedy. The comfort I felt that day was because of what our Savior Jesus Christ did for us. Christ broke the bands of death. He was resurrected. Christ made it possible for all to live again. This knowledge gives me strength to endure. Comfort in times of tragedy. Hope to one day see my father again. During that time I began to see I did not need to live in darkness and fear of the unknown. Because the Savior descended below all things He knew how to help me rise above my difficulty. When the universe itself seems shattered and the shards of the world lie littered at our feet in pieces, the Savior's power and assurance can still make it possible for us to feel joy. My favorite scripture is Proverbs 3:5
