Hi I'm Brett

I grew up in Houston, Texas. I'm a sports fanatic. I am now serving a mission in Pocatello, Idaho. And yup, I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Well first off, I love the gospel. All of my life I have played sports. I love almost anything with a ball, or that's outside. I love being around family, friends, music, and just relaxing while watching a good movie. I was raised in Texas (The Bible Belt) my whole life, around awesome "Texas Friendly" people. I had to explain to almost all of my friends, teachers, and coaches why I was LDS, what I believed, and why I believed what I did. This has been a blessing from the Lord in my eyes. After graduating from high school I recieved an athletic scholarship for Track & Field from Texas A&M University. I competed in the 200m and 400m my freshmen year, before leaving to serve my mission in Pocatello, Idaho. I wouldn't exchange, or trade, the lessons that I learned while at Texas A&M for anything. It has shaped me into the person and missionary that I am today. While I love serving a mission currently, I have decided to return to Texas A&M after my mission to continue my education and play football. Everything that I have been blessed with is because of a loving Father in Heaven.

Why I am a Mormon

I can name serveral reasons why I am LDS. My whole life I grew up in the church. Although I grew up in the church, I didn't gain a testimony until I read and prayed about The Book of Mormon. Experiences that I have had in sports have helped me realize how greatful that I am to have the gospel in my life. This Gospel has blessed my life in ways I never thought it could. Ive seen the Gospel of Jesus Christ work throughout my life, and it still continues to do so today. I am now serving a full time mission because I love my Savior, and loving parents who have made me into the young man that I am today. I will always be greatful for what my Heavenly Father has blessed me with.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by faithfully going to church every sunday, magnifying my calling, being myself, and just living everyday life the best that I can. I have been called to serve a mission, and I have accepted this call.
