Hi I'm Leslie

I grew up in Arkansas. I work in Entertainment. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love dancing, rock climbing, hiking, going to the beach, yoga, movies, and everything else wonderful about living in Southern California! I write children's fiction and make movies. I also love working with children, I volunteered at schools in China and taught English in Taiwan at an elementary school. Now I work with youth from all backgrounds.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I feel the power that comes from living the truths that are taught in this gospel. I feel the joy and strength of making choices that allow me to become the best person I can be, and push me towards higher goals. I see the hurt, confussion and limitations that result when I go astray. I see the ailments of the world that would be alleviated by applying this gospels principles. When I stack those reasons on top of years of answered prayers and "proof" God has given me that this is the right track for me, I can't find any good enough reasons to be anything but Mormon.

How I live my faith

In my work I try to reflect my beliefs by promoting and creating positive media that inspires AND entertains. In my community i volunteer with families that were homeless but now are living in transitional housing and working to stay off the streets. I also work with the homeless population through differant soup kitchens and shelters. Christ taught us about the importance of caring for the poor, and it feels great to help out. At church I am in charge of planning activities that are fun and uplifting for the women ages 18-30. I love the sisterhood that I enjoy with the other girls at church, we're like a support system for eachother.
