Hi I'm Luke Haddad

I play the violin, I'm a sucker for giant robots, I cannot shoot lasers, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have been called to be a missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. For the next two years, I will be serving in the Ukraine, Donetsk area. I absolutely love music! I play the violin and the trombone, but I end up using the violin a lot more. Oftentimes, when I find myself full of joy or sadness, music is a way of expressing my feelings. Thankfully, I usually get to express joy. I also love robots and superheroes. When I was younger I always wanted to be just like Cyclops. Despite my countless efforts, my face will probably never fire an optic beam. My siblings and I had some wild imaginations growing up, and I contribute that to my insanity. But I wouldn't trade it for the world. It is so much easier to battle the trials of adulthood after slaying a cyborg octo-tortoise in our back yard with nothing but a deflated basketball and dirt. Luckily we have awesome parents that were always willing to mend our war casualties. They raised us right and gave us an awesome home where we could feel love and comfort.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because the Gospel of Jesus Christ has indeed been restored to the Earth! I know this for myself, and I want nothing more than to be able to share it with everyone! I want to invite everyone to read the Book of Mormon. Read it, and ask God if the book is true. He WILL manifest the truth of it unto you by the power of the Holy Ghost. I leave my testimony with you that God lives. We have been given the Bible and the Book of Mormon as testaments of Christ. God sent His Son to die for us, He loves us and we are all His children. If we obey the commandments and follow the example of Christ by being baptized by someone holding His priesthood authority we can live with Him and our families for eternity. The message of the restored gospel of Jesus Christ is a message of truth and happiness. It has brought nothing but good into my life and I know it can make anyone happy.

How I live my faith

Like a missionary!! There is nothing in the world I would rather be doing right now than giving up two full years of my life for my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. I can hardly believe the things I am seeing and learning as I serve the people in Ukraine. Everyone in this whole world has problems. Everyone is fighting some kind of battle. I will gladly give up my time to help them fight. Because nothing brings me more joy than seeing others build a stronger relationship with their Heavenly Father and find peace in their Savior, Jesus Christ. Next time you see missionaries at your door or on their bikes, don't blow them off right away. Give them a chance and listen to what they have to say. They are servants of the Lord who are working diligently and faithfully.
