Hi I'm Allison

I'm a student at BYU-Idaho, I love having friends and doing crazy things, I love homemaking, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a student at BYU-Idaho who loves the Lord and the gospel. I also love music, friends, the temple and its blessings, education, and my wonderful family.

Why I am a Mormon

My main reason for being a mormon is simply because I know this church is true, in fact I've never been more sure of anything in my life. I can feel it every time I go to church, read my scriptures, or pray. Another reason is that it makes me happy. Even when I have no one to go to for help or when I feel alone, there's always answers somewhere in our doctrine or the answer comes to me when I pray. I also believe strongly in the power of Christ's atonement, or the power of forgiveness. I know he suffered for everyone's sins, and I've messed up many times so it's comforting to me to know that if I change my ways and ask for forgiveness that it will be given to me. One thing that people ask me about a lot is the Book of Mormon, and if I believe in the bible. The answer is yes. We use the bible just as much, and the Book of Mormon is simply another testament of Jesus Christ that was discovered later, and this is a topic of heavy debate for many religions. Well all I can say is read it prayerfully and you'll understand and be able to answer your questions about it for yourself.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by serving in my ward as a student living coordinator. Since I go to a college ward we have some extra things we do to help us to get to know one another, and one of those thing is holding "family night" every Monday night. My job is to help arrange these family groups and help pick and train the group leaders. It has been an awesome experience so far and I love serving the Lord through serving my ward and those in it. I try to uplift others to the best of my ability and this is a perfect way to do it.
