Hi I'm Kylie

I love laughing, I love Cleveland, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am from Holladay, Utah. My childhood was full of barbie jeep cruisers, dance recitals, and laughing. My favorite memories from my childhood were from our summers at Lake Powell water skiing, cliff jumping, and spending time with friends and family. I've always wanted to travel the world. I have a dream of traveling to the Holy Land, riding a camel at Petra, rock climbing in Thailand, backpacking in Ireland, volunteering in India, and climbing Huayna Picchu in Peru. I love beautiful things. I love being in the mountains, camp fires, and I'm kind of obsessed with Harry Potter. I was always active in the church but it wasn't until high school that I really gained my own testimony. I was able to find peace and joy in the gospel and I came to understand God's plan for me as an individual. God made it very clear that His path for me was better than anything I could come up with for myself. The summer after my sophomore year I was blessed to be given the opportunity to be a counselor at Oakcrest Girls Camp for young women in our church ages 13-14. I was paid to sing camp songs at the top of my lungs and share my testimony of my Savior with the youth of the church. It was one of the hardest things I have ever done, but it was the best summer I have ever had and it changed my life. I found my love for sharing the message of the restored gospel, and I decided to put my communications major on hold to serve a full time mission for the church!

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because I have come to know for myself that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is Christ's church once again established on the earth. It has brought me lasting and true happiness and helped me gain a better understanding of the plan our Heavenly Father has and the person I can become.

How I live my faith

I served for 18 months as a missionary in Cleveland, Ohio. I was able to meet incredible people and share with them God's plan for His children. It was the hardest thing I have ever done but I learned a lot about faith, hope, and the Atonement. I was able to serve in the Historic Kirtland Visitors' Center during my mission where I taught people about the history of the Church in northeastern Ohio. I grew to love church history and the saints that demonstrated great faith. Now that I am back at college I participate in ward activities and try my best to continue doing missionary work. I live my faith every day by reading my scriptures, praying, attending the temple, and serving those around me.
