Hi I'm Brandon

I grew up in Wyoming. I am the youngest of 4 kids. I have 10 nieces and nephews. I love sports and politics. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in a small town called Afton in the great state of Wyoming. I am the youngest of 4 kids. I am currently studying business at the University of Wyoming. I was born a member of the church, and was lucky to see the examples of my parents and older siblings. I was lucky to have the opportunity to serve as a full time missionary for the church in Seoul, South Korea from 2010-2012. I really enjoy basketball, and politics.

Why I am a Mormon

Well I was born in the church, and originally went just because my family went. Little by little I knew that it was true but there came a day when I really had to decide for me, whether or not it was true. It was around my junior and senior year of high school, when if I was to serve a full time mission for my church that I needed to start to prepare for serving a mission. I listened to general conference (a meeting held twice a year where members are addressed by worldwide church leaders) and heard a powerful testimony or witness of the Book of Mormon. I knew right then that I needed to know for myself if the Book of Mormon was true which would mean the church was true. I started to read the Book of Mormon more regularly and came to know after thought and prayer that it was the word of God, and that this was God's true church. Now having served a full time mission and as a college student I have learned that even though I am a member of God's true church that doesn't always mean that things go perfectly or that there aren't trials. However through those hard times, through those trials, I have come to know more fully that Jesus Christ is our Savior, and that he loves us! He wants more than anything for us to be happy, that's why He gave up His life for us. I know that Jesus is the Christ and that He is the Son of God. I know that we are children of a loving Heavenly Father. We are SO blessed! When we trust and rely on our Heavenly Father, we can be comforted to know that everything will be OK!

How I live my faith

I attend a single adults congregation here in Laramie, and currently have a calling or responsibility in the mens group to teach sunday school and help with activities. We meet together regularly and have BBQs, play pool, and other activities.
