Hi I'm Cole Lyman

I am serving a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the Belgium/Netherlands mission.

About Me

I am a musician, programmer, camper, reader, and lover of fun things to do. I am currently serving a mission in Belgium and the Netherlands.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I love my Heavenly Father and the Church is the best way that I have found to get closest to God. Through living in accordance to the standards Heavenly Father has set, I know that I can grow closer to Him. I feel that my religion is more than something I just do on Sunday, but it is a part of who I am, and is always a factor in every decision that I make.

How I live my faith

Currently I am serving the Church on a mission in Belgium/Netherlands. I enjoy serving the Lord on a mission. I have learned much about many other people and even more about myself on my mission. I live my faith through being an example to others and to being open to helping other people. I love to search for spontaneous opporunities to serve others in small ways. I also love to search and study the scriptures. I know that the scriptures are the word of God, and that we can learn so much from them. I have received much knowledge, comfort, and peace through the study of the scriptures.

What is the priesthood?

Cole Lyman
The priesthood is simply the authority from God given to men to serve others in His name. With the priesthood, we can know that the ordinances performed (like baptism) are recognized by God. Holding the priesthood is an opportunity to serve others. Those that hold the priesthood should always do their best to follow the example of Jesus Christ. This does not mean that everyone that holds the priesthood is perfect, but the priesthood helps us to become more like Christ through serving others in His name. Show more Show less
