Hi I'm Rob

I'm a small business technology specialist, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have a BS degree in Software Engineering, and own two small businesses working in the technology field. I specialize in small business technologies, and enjoy helping new businesses get off the ground. I've been married for 10 years, and have three children.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in a home that valued freedom of thought and expression. The choice of religion was left open to my sister and myself. I found myself lost and confused in my formative high school years, and found peace in my LDS friends I couldn't get anywhere else. Eventually I found my way to the missionaries, and the Gospel simply made sense. Everything in my life was made clear in those meetings, who I was, why I was here, and what I needed to do. The gospel grounded me, and gave me direction I was lacking. I always knew who God was, and I had an idea of the Savior, but the fullness of his teachings gave me the strength and protection I needed to overcome the trials of life.

How I live my faith

I'm currently the Stake Assistant Technology Specialist, responsible for the Stake center in which my ward attends. It is my privilege to assist the Church directly with its technology needs. I work with the audio video equipment to help bring conference to our building twice per year, as well as broadcast stake conference to the outlying ward facilities. I assist with the computer maintenance in the Family History lab as well as the ward and stake computers needed to help the local authorities support church functions. I make myself available to local families to help them solve various computer issues, and work to teach everyone nearby how to interact with the technology that has surrounded us.
