Hi I'm Julie Camarena

I'm a mother, an Air Force wife, a substitute math teacher, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have been married to an almost retired - Air Force officer for 20 years. We are the parents of three children: boys 19 and almost 17 and a daughter who is 13 years old. They are my pride and joy! I grew up in Colorado Springs. I have a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, although I have been blessed to be a stay-home mother. I do work occasionally as a substitute teacher at my children's schools. I like to read, go to the gym, work crossword puzzles, shop, and be with my family.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born and raised in the Mormon church. My parents were great examples to me of how to live my faith. I have had my share of challenges throughout life, although I have always chosen to remain active in the LDS church. I have been blessed in many ways as a result of my church membership.

How I live my faith

I love serving in my church. Currently I am working with the girls age 16-18 and love their youth and excited outlook on life. I spend Sundays with them as well as Wednesday nights at our activity night. I am an active volunteer in my childrens' schools. I have served in the PTA for as many years as I have had kids in school, usually as Treasurer. I also have helped with my childrens' sports teams. I enjoy being able to give back to the community, and thank those who have helped make my children better. I strive to be a good example to my friends and those I come in contact with. I love going to movies, but my friends know I don't see rated R ones, because they do not have the morals I strive to uphold. The Mormon church has taught me so many things about being a good person. I strive to be honest, kind, compassionate, and helpful.
